Book bans are on the rise in California, and Solving Sacramento’s solutions lens can help even the odds. 

Censorship attempts are a statewide issue. In 2024, there were 26 attempts to restrict 81 unique  titles in California’s public schools and libraries. In San Diego, Library Foundation SD fights censorship in the local community while highlighting the bigger picture statewide.
