Suntan Set to Play at Humble Heart
SAN DIEGO – On May 8, Suntan is going to play at Humble Heart, a local venue in Ocean Beach. According to the band they’re going to open for Boy Idealist and will be playing alongside three other San Diego bands: Moontalk, Citrus Jr. and Echinacea.
This event is monumental for Suntan because this is their first time venturing off of the SDSU scene; it’s their first show in a legitimate venue.
“I’m excited to get a crowd that’s not just SDSU, it’ll be a nice mix to throw in,” said Ruhi Shroff, Suntan’s drummer.
Humble Heart is located at 4873 Newport Ave. in Ocean Beach. According to the venue’s website, tickets can be bought at $8 for presale before May 8 at 2:00 p.m. or $10 after that time online or at the door.
According to Shroff, Boy Idealist reached out to her to book Suntan for the show. She said that they are very excited to play alongside these bands because they are already well-established in the local music scene.
The band's set is going to start at 7 p.m., but anyone interested in going to the show should aim to get there earlier. Since the venue is small, attendants should arrive a few minutes early to secure a good spot.
For more information on the show visit the Humble Heart website and look for updates on Suntan’s Instagram page. For information regarding booking visit their Instagram page and send a message over the direct messaging system.
